Corrections Policy

Last updated: September 21, 2026

Readers rely on USA Benefits Now for information about payments, deadlines, and benefit rules. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and openly. This page explains how.

Our Commitment

  • We correct factual errors as soon as we confirm them.
  • We do not quietly change the meaning of an article without telling readers.
  • We treat errors involving payment dates, dollar amounts, eligibility rules, and deadlines as high priority, because readers may act on them.

Types of Changes

Corrections: When an article contains a factual error, such as a wrong date, amount, name, or program rule, we fix the error and add a note at the top or bottom of the article. The note explains what was changed and when.

Example: “Correction (Month Day, Year): An earlier version of this article gave the wrong payment date. It has been updated.”

Updates: When a story develops or new official information becomes available, we revise the article and change the “Updated” date. If the update changes the main point of the story, we say so in the article.

Minor edits: Typos, spelling, grammar, and formatting fixes that do not change the meaning of the article may be made without a note.

Retractions: If an article cannot be supported by reliable sources, we may remove it. In that case, we will explain why on the article page or in a clearly visible notice.

How to Report an Error

If you believe something we published is wrong or out of date, please email [contact@usabenefitsnow.com] and include:

  1. The link to the article
  2. What you believe is incorrect
  3. An official source that supports the correction, if you have one

We review every report. If we confirm an error, we correct it and add a correction note. You can also reach us through our Contact page.

How We Handle Reports

We aim to review correction requests within [1 to 2 business days]. Reports involving payment dates or amounts are reviewed first. If we decide no correction is needed, we will reply to explain why whenever you have given us your email address.
